Francis Ikome, managing partner & EVP, international affairs

Francis Ikome is a managing partner and the executive vice president for international affairs at Global Executive Outcomes Group. An accomplished and dynamic Africa trade specialist, Francis is known for his unwavering dedication to driving economic growth and fostering sustainable trade relations across the African continent. He is also the co-founder and executive director of the European Association for Economic Cooperation with West African States (EUROWAS).

Notably, Francis is also the visionary founder and former CEO of the Cameroonian American Chamber of Commerce (CAMAM) in Washington, D.C. Under his leadership, CAMAM played a pivotal role in enhancing diaspora engagement in private sector development in Cameroon and facilitating robust U.S.-Cameroonian economic relations.

Additionally, he served as the head of international business development for a leading European pipe producer, opening strong access to the African market for the company.

Beyond his professional achievements in trade and business development, Francis is also a former professional footballer with Portuguese SC Beira-Mar, showcasing his versatility and tenacity both on and off the field.

Francis earned his master's degree in international relations and economics from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, D.C. He speaks English, Italian, French, and Cameroonian Creole.

With over a decade of experience creating impactful narratives about Africa, Mfonobong Nsehe is one of the most recognized communications professionals on the continent.

He began his media career covering African news for Ananova, a Web-oriented news and information service owned by the mobile telecommunications operator, Orange SA. He later worked as a journalist for Business Daily, Kenya’s leading business newspaper.

Mfonobong was also the pioneer managing editor of Ventures Africa and built it into one of Africa’s most influential business news media before leaving to focus on the private sector.

A former Forbes Magazine contributor covering African wealth, Mfonobong conceptualized and initiated the Forbes ranking of Africa’s richest people. Over the years, he has traveled to more than 25 African countries interviewing over 250 African billionaires and ultra-high net-worth individuals (UHNWIs). In the process, he has built extensive relationships with leading captains of industry and government functionaries throughout the continent.

Mfonobong also works as an African wealth intelligence consultant and travels extensively across Africa advising private banks, hedge funds and family offices, providing unparalleled insight into the UHNWI community. He has worked with some of the world’s foremost risk management companies on due diligence and corporate investigations assignments in South Africa, Madagascar, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana, Mozambique and Morocco.

A Nigerian national, Mfonobong has a bachelor’s degree in communications with honors from Daystar University in Kenya. He divides his time between Nairobi, Abuja and Antananarivo.

Emmanuel Onwe | Partner

Emmanuel Onwe is a lawyer, activist, columnist, and former member of the Nigerian Senate. He most recently served as the Commissioner for Information in Nigeria’s Ebonyi State. 

Onwe was born in Ebonyi State. He received his early education at Our Lady of Fatima in Ikwo and the Presbyterian Secondary School, Abakaliki in Anambra State.

Onwe studied law on a scholarship at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he earned his bachelor’s degree. After his graduation, he entered University College London, where he embarked on postgraduate studies in law.

Onwe trained as a barrister at the Inns of Court School of Law in London. He was admitted to the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 1999 and called to the English Bar. While at the Inns of Court School of Law, Onwe received the Sir Thomas More Award. He later undertook his pupillage at Two Garden Court Chambers, Middle Temple, London.

Onwe has worked for the non-governmental organizations, Y-Care International, Friends of the Earth and Amnesty International. At Y-Care International, he worked chiefly on mobilizing and delivering relief materials for the victims of the Rwanda Genocide in 1995.

At Amnesty International, he worked in the campaigns department and took a special interest in the organization’s work on issues like the death penalty and the 1991–1992 campaign against the Maoist guerrilla insurgent organization Sendero Luminoso (Shining Path) in Peru.

During this period, Onwe attended the historic World Conference on Human Rights in Vienna, Austria, in June 1993, which gave rise to the Vienna Declaration and Program of Action on Human Rights. As a prelude to the event, Onwe wrote an essay published in the New Internationalist in June 1993, which extolled the principle of universality and indivisibility over the concepts of cultural relativity and the peculiarity of human rights.

Onwe was a founding member of the Civil Liberties Organization’s UK Section alongside Dr. Amazu Anthony Asouzu. After joining the British Labour Party in 1992, he worked on the election campaigns of MPs Bernie Grant and Paul Boateng between 1992 and 2005. Both Grant and Baoteng were long-serving members in the British Parliament.

Konstantin Terentev | Partner

Konstantin Terentev is a seasoned consultant specializing in crisis management in Russia and Eurasia and security issues internationally. He serves as partner for Eurasia and security issues at Global Executive Outcomes Group, and is a senior security advisor to Global Petroleum Group, an oil and gas firm developing offshore energy fields in the Caribbean.

Konstantin’s decades of experience include structuring and managing integrated crisis management and security programs globally for public- and private-sector clients and high net-worth individuals in industries as disparate as international shipping, crypto-mining, technology, diplomacy and energy. His assignments have taken him all across the world — from Siberia to Grenada to Sub-Saharan Africa to the Middle East to South Asia.

Prior to joining Global Executive Outcomes Group, Konstantin held a number of senior line and functional roles in international business where he was responsible for security strategy and execution, and the leadership of specialized crisis and security management programs.
